Privacy
Short version: Boxanne does not collect your data. We have no servers and no accounts.
Last updated October 26, 2026.
What stays with you
- Your places, areas, things, names, notes and photos are stored on your device.
- If iCloud is on, they sync through your own private iCloud. We cannot see them.
- If you share a place, it is shared through Apple’s iCloud sharing with the people you invite. They need an Apple Account. They do not need a Boxanne account, because there are none.
What we collect
Nothing. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party code that sends your data anywhere.
Camera and photos
Boxanne asks for the camera so you can take photos of your things and scan label codes. Photos are saved in the app and your iCloud. Naming suggestions and reading text in photos happen on your device using Apple’s Vision framework, and the photos are not sent to us.
Microphone and speech
If you ask Boxanne a question out loud, listening and understanding happen on your device. Nothing is recorded or sent to us.
